Freeing Your Mind To Support Your Life’s Purpose

Life's PurposeEveryone who has ever been born has come into this world with a specific life’s purpose.  The challenge for most is that by the time they reach their early teens they have been negatively influenced by society and their environment, and have lost the connection to that purpose.

If this has been your experience, and you want to rediscover/reconnect to your life’s purpose, you must begin by freeing your mind from the limiting beliefs contained within it.

At first you may not know or be aware of what limiting beliefs you have because they are in your subconscious mind.  However, there are many clues all around you that can guide you toward your limiting beliefs.  There are two main areas I would suggest you look to begin this discovery process.

1.  Challenging Areas of Your Life.  Everything that you are experiencing right now is the result of a belief that you have in your subconscious mind.  If you find yourself challenged in a particular area of your life, you can be sure that their is a belief that supports that experience.

Allow yourself to go back and remember what were the messages you heard and/or received around this area while you were growing up.  For example, if you are experiencing a lack of abundance, what were the messages you received about money?  Did you hear “Rich people are jerks”,  Money is the root of all evil”, “We’re just not meant to be rich”  “There just never seems to be enough money”  “We can’t afford it” etc.

2.  Look At The Words You Use. What are the words you use in talking about this area of your life.  Is it similar or worse than what you heard growing up?  Their is always a thought that precedes our spoken words.  Chances are those thoughts are very similar to the messages you received.

Re-programming Limiting Beliefs

Once you are aware of what the limiting beliefs are that are holding you back in your life, you can begin to systematically re-program those limiting beliefs into beliefs that are more positive and support your life’s purpose.

This site is filled with articles and resources to assist you in this.  The three primary tools I would suggest you look at are:

1.  Affirmations

2.  Visualization

3.  Guided Imagery

Any of these tools by themselves if used consistently will yield positive results.  If you use all three, your results will be even more dramatic.  If you are unclear about how to procede in re-programming your limiting beliefs, feel free to email me at mithcell@thechampionsheart.com  I will be happy to answer your questions.

Achieving Goals – The Five Questions You Must Ask Yourself

It’s Celebration Friday, and today I want to celebrate your goals.  The fact is that it is part of our nuerology to be goal seeking.  It is a natural part of who we are.  As you probably already know there is a difference between seeking and achieving.

If you want to be more successful at achieving goals, then there are five questions that you absolutley must ask and answer for yourself.  I will list and explain them below.

1.  What Do You Want?

In answering this question, be sure to answer it in the positive.  For example:

I want to be fit trim and vibrantly healthy.

NOT

I want to lose weight

2.  How will you know when you have achieved it?

What will be different in your life that will let you know that you have achieved your goal?  what will it look like, feel like, what will you hear?  If your goal is to be fit trim and vibrantly healthy, some of the things that might let you know you have achieved it are a) you’re able to fit into the clothes you wore in college, b) you can run a mile without huffing and puffing, c) you feel energized throughout the day, d) people are complimenting you on the way you look, etc.

3.  Is it within your control?

Is the goal something you can achieve on your own, or do you need help/cooperation from someone else?  In the example above, you could most likely achieve it on your own (although you may need to consult various sources for information).

What if you said your goal was to get a new job?  Is that within your control?  Not really.  You have to rely on someone else making the decision to hire you.  If I were coaching you, I would suggest that you tweek the goal to something you can control.  Perhaps stating something like I want to be prepared to accept a new job.  Preparing yourself is definitely within your control.

4.  Will achieving your goal have any negative impact on you or anyone/anything you care about?

Too often we never think of any possible negative consequences of achieving our goals.  What if your goal is to prepare yourself to accept a new job, and you are offered a job in which you must be away from home 3-5 days a week.  If you are recently married and have a newborn son, accepting the job would achieve your goal, however the negative consequences may not be worth it.

5.  What would be an immediate next step you could take toward achieving your goal?

If your goal is to be fit, trip and vibrantly healthy, you might decide to start walking ten or more minutes a day.  If your goal is to prepare yourself to prepare yourself to accept a new job, then you might choose to sign up for a new class to become stronger in one of your areas of weakness.

By asking and answering the five questions above you ensure that you are giving your subconscious mind the information it needs to assist you in achieving your goal.  You also ensure that you are not wasting your time on a goal that is either not within your control, or that may negatively impact yourself or someone you care about.

I encourage you to take the time in the begining to explore these questions, and you will set yourself up to be much more successful in achieving your goals.

Celebration Friday – Claim Your Independence From Limiting Beliefs

IndepedcenceIt’s Celebration Friday, and with Independence Day tomorrow (in the US), I thought the timing was perfect to invite everyone to take a stand and declare their independence from their limiting beliefs.

Our limiting beliefs are no different than being taxed unfairly.  In both cases we are forced to live a life that is less than it could be, and in fact less than it is intended to be.  So I encourage you, stand up for the life of perfect abundance that is your birthright.

Commit to doing whatever it takes to conquer and release the limiting thoughts, feelings and beliefs that have invaded your subconscious mind over the years.  Sneaking in there without your knowledge, and then secretly sabotaging your efforts to improve your quality of life.

You have a lot of tools (weapons) at your disposal on this site.  If you haven’t already claimed your free Empowerment Package, then I encourage you to go to the home page now and do it.  At the very least, I encourage you to listen to the powerful guided imagery “Conquering Negativity” .

You can listen to it at http://www.youpublish.com/files/18894/Conquering-Negativity  Listen to it several times, and you will begin to feel freer, and even lighter as you you release those heavy limiting thoughts that have been holding you back for so long.

If your time is limited you might want to look up my 5 minute a day Power Affirmations routine in the archives.  Whatever you do, make the choice, that you will no longer be a victim of your limiting beliefs.  Commit to taking the necessary action to start living the life you deserve and desire.

If you need additional guidance, you can always email me at mitchell@thechampionsheart.com
