Power Affirmations Routine – Reprogram Your Mind In 5 Minutes A Day

Human MindThis is the first installment of the new empowerment Monday series.  Every Monday you will find a new tool, technique or process that you can use to move forward in your life.
Because it seems that in today’s society there is too much to do and not enough time to do it, I want to make sure you don’t have any excuse to not use affirmations in a powerful way because of time.

So in this edition of Empowerment Monday,  I am giving you my down and dirty five minutes a day Power Affirmations routine.

As I have talked about in other articles, the most powerful time to work with affirmations is during the half hour before you go to bed at night.  This is the time we will focus on here.  This is the time you want to use without fail for five minutes every night.

First I want you to take a powerful stance, and with your hand on your heart, and  all the emotion you can muster, state up to five of your affirmations outloud.

Next write, don’t print those same affirmations in a notebook.  Writing is an ideomotor response which automatically puts what you write into your subconscious mind.
Finally visualize or imagine yourself experiencing the life as if all of your affirmations had manifested.

Completing all three steps should take no more than five minutes.  I hope you will agree that you are worth at least five minutes of your time to move your life forward in a positive direction.
I hope you think you are worth more.

If nothing else do this down and dirty five minute routine for the next 30 days, and I think you will be surprised how something so simple can be so powerful.
Here’s to affirmaing your success!

Negative Thoughts Have To Go–Mental Spring Cleaning

Spring is here. It is a time when many people look to release (sell, donate, throw away) those things which seem to have no purpose in their lives other than to take up space and energy. They also often seek to clean up and organize their living environment in order to be more productive.

This is all well and good, and certainly a worthwhile endeavor, however people tend to overlook an important factor in their Spring cleaning. They forget to clean up and clear out the subconscious thoughts and beliefs that aren’t serving them and are responsible for creating the situation/environment that exists in their lives in the first place.

Unless those thoughts and beliefs are also cleaned up and cleared out, it is only a matter of time before the situation and environment are recreated. For your sake, I encourage you to take an inventory of the those things you are committed to releasing in your life.

Recognize that there is a thought and a belief in your subconscious mind that is responsible for that thing or situation being in your life. Then utilize any number of tools available to change that subconscious belief to one that supports the change you seek.

I have written about many tools for changing subconscious thoughts and beliefs, and you can read about them in greater detail in those articles. However the two tools I would recommend and briefly describe here are affirmations, and visualization.

First visualize yourself living your life with all the changes you seek to make having already been made. Be aware of how this makes you feel. be aware of the benefits you receive and experience as a result of having successfully made those changes and releasing that which no longer serves you.

Second, for each change you seek to make, come up with a positive affirmation that supports that change. If you have been disorganized and you want to be organized, you might write:

My environment is neat, clean, and well organized at all times.

If you have procrastinated in the past when it comes to moving forward in your life, you might write:

I am always taking immediate positive action to move forward in my life.

As I have mentioned in other articles, the most powerful time to work with affirmations and visualization is during the half hour before you go to bed. I would recommend that you visualize for two to three minutes, and then say and write your affirmation(s) for one to two minutes.

If you commit to doing this bedtime routine for thirty days and follow through on your commitment, I think you will be amazed at your results. Happy Spring Cleaning!
